Why Chief Judge disqualified himself from hearing Oron Union case

Abang, in light of this, has given over the case record over to the Chief Judge of the Federal High Court. Equity Okon Abang of the Federal High Court has said he is excluding himself from listening to the instance of Incorporated Trustees of Oron Union in light of a legitimate concern for equity and reasonable play.Abang said: "Having respect to the way that I am from the Oron country, an ethnic gathering in Akwa Ibom State, I think it is appropriate for me to give back the case file."The case document will be come back to the central judge of the Federal High Court for reassignment to another judge other than me.

"By assent of all gatherings to the suit, I thusly preclude myself from further continuing of this case on the record that I am from Akwa Ibom State."The suit was organized by Oron Union looking for an interval request to prevent the Senate from affirming the designations of Nsima Ekere and Frank George.The chosen people were chosen for arrangement as Managing Director and Commissioner on the leading group of Niger Delta Development Commission separately.
